Lobenberg: Roland Velichs Einstiegswein. Ausgebaut im großen Holz. Schon hier enorm fruchtig und finessenreich. Ohne technische Hilfsmittel und ohne Mostkonzentration. Offen und ehrlich präsentiert sich der Wein. Die Handschrift von Roland Velich ist unverkennbar: fast burgundisch mutet dieser Blaufränkisch an. Feine Substanz, delikat, würzig und frisch. 92+/100

-- Robinson: Spicy, menthol and black cherry fruit with a rich and chewy texture on the palate. Lovely bitterness, a bit like olive. Easy to drink, but serious. (RH) 17+/20

-- Suckling: Suckling: Although it is just the "regular" quality wine from this producer, the cherry and floral aromas leap from this medium-bodied red. The aromas and the crispness at the finish make it reminiscent of top Beaujolais Cru. Drink now or in 2019 and 2020. 92/100

-- Parker: Roland Velich's 2015 Burgenland Blaufränkisch is beautifully pure, fresh and reductive on the nose, which displays spicy, just-ripe black berry and underwood aromas. Wild, vibrant, floral and peppery! On the palate, the wine is pure and fresh, a light to medium-bodied, crunchy and silky-textured assemblage of different places. It has fine, crunchy tannins and some herb and sour notes but is a picturebook Blaufränkisch. 90/100
